MySpace Maps

Welcome to my MySpace Mapping page. This page allows you to map your MySpace friends simply by entering your MySpace UserID. Private accounts do not work - it can’t see your friends! Please view the FAQ below for instructions on how to get your MySpace ID. US cities only. People with over 1000 friends are not supported! Do you really know all those people anyway?

FAQ

  1. How do I find my MySpace User ID? Here are the instructions on how to get your MySpace ID.
    1. Login and make sure you are on your homepage by clicking ‘Home’
    2. Underneath your photo will appear 2 links (View My: Profile | Blog)
    3. Hold you mouse over the Blog link. It will appear the format: http://blog.myspace.com/number where number is your MySpace ID.
  2. My account never appears on any mapsPlease make sure you have your profile information completely filled in. This page uses your city and state as found in your profile. Also, your country must be set to US. I use US census data, so make sure your city is in the census database.
  3. Why does it take so long? This page manually scans through every single friend in your list and downloads their profile information. This is a lot of data! You can imagine how much bandwidth this thing pulls and for that reason I might have to shut it down if I reach my host’s limit.
  4. I updated my city and/or state but the new information does not appearFor performance and bandwidth reasons all profile data is cached. I may decide to clear it out after a certain amount of time, however, there is no such policy at this time.
  5. When will you have support for all cities in the world? As soon as I get access to lat/long data for world cities.
